Description

Global Broadband Without Antenna Pointing

Unlike traditional portable satellite terminals, the MCD-MissionLINK requires virtually no operator training. There is no manual antenna pointing or satellite alignment. Simply place the closed case on the ground or another stable surface with a clear view of the sky, switch it on, and the terminal automatically establishes an Iridium Certus connection.

Operating on Iridium's low Earth orbit satellite constellation, the terminal provides truly global coverage, including polar regions, making it suitable for remote land operations, disaster response, scientific expeditions, and other off-grid applications.

Internet, Voice, and Office Connectivity

The MCD-MissionLINK functions as a portable communications hub, allowing users to connect laptops, smartphones, tablets, and other devices through Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

Key capabilities include:

  • Internet access up to 700 kbps download
  • Upload speeds up to 352 kbps
  • Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 12 connected devices
  • Voice calling through the included analog handset
  • Support for up to three simultaneous phone lines
  • VPN, email, FTP, and web browsing compatibility

The integrated WAN port also supports least-cost routing when terrestrial internet is available.

Built for Field Operations

Everything is integrated into a ruggedized waterproof Pelican case designed for demanding environments. The terminal operates with the lid closed, protecting the equipment from rain, dust, and impact while maintaining connectivity.

An internal rechargeable battery provides approximately five to six hours of typical operation, while the included AC adapter and 12 V vehicle power adapter allow continuous use during extended deployments or while traveling.

Ready for Remote Missions

The MCD-MissionLINK is designed for organizations that need dependable communications wherever operations take place.

Typical applications include:

  • Emergency management
  • Disaster recovery
  • Military and government operations
  • Broadcast and media reporting
  • Scientific research
  • Mining and energy projects
  • Remote business operations
  • Humanitarian missions

Its simple deployment, rugged construction, and truly global coverage help teams stay connected without relying on local communications infrastructure.
