Rail-Based Antenna Installation

This mount allows a compatible FleetBroadband antenna to be installed directly on a 1-inch vessel rail. A rail-mounted setup can simplify installation on boats where deck space is limited or where drilling into the mounting surface is undesirable.

Compatible FleetBroadband Systems

The mount is intended for antennas used with:

• SAILOR FleetBroadband 150
• SAILOR FleetBroadband 250
• SAILOR Fleet One

These systems provide maritime satellite voice and data connectivity through the Inmarsat network. The antenna must be positioned with a clear view of the sky and away from obstructions that could interfere with satellite tracking. ([cobham-satcom.com][1])

Marine Installation Planning

Before installation, confirm that the rail has a 1-inch diameter and is strong enough to support the antenna during vessel movement and changing weather conditions. The selected location should also provide sufficient clearance around the antenna and allow the antenna cable to be routed without sharp bends or unnecessary strain.
