ASE Iridium 9575 PTT Docking Station - BagDock
Description
Portable Satellite Voice and PTT Operation
The BagDock allows an Iridium Extreme handset to remain secured and powered while calls are managed through the included palm speaker microphone. When used with the Iridium Extreme PTT phone and appropriate service, it also provides radio-style group communications over the Iridium satellite network.
This portable design is suited to first responders, field personnel, security teams, utilities, remote workers, and mobile crews that need to move one satellite communication system between vehicles or operating locations.
External Iridium and GPS Antenna
A dual-mode Iridium and GPS antenna is included with a 3-meter cable and magnetic base. It can be temporarily positioned on a suitable vehicle roof or at a field location where it has an unobstructed view of the sky.
The external antenna allows the handset and docking station to remain protected inside the carrying bag, vehicle, or shelter while maintaining access to the satellite network.
Integrated Battery and Vehicle Power
The BagDock contains a rechargeable battery for operation without continuous external power. Iridium states that the battery can extend use of the Iridium Extreme by approximately 12 to 19 hours, although actual operating time depends on calling activity, PTT use, signal conditions, battery age, and temperature.
The system can also connect to compatible AC/DC power supplies or vehicle auxiliary power sources. Current Iridium specifications list a 10–32 VDC input range.
Protective Grab-and-Go Design
The padded canvas bag keeps the handset, dock, palm microphone, antenna, and cables organized as a single portable system. Accessible flaps allow the antenna and connections to be deployed without fully removing the equipment from the bag. The enclosure provides practical protection from routine impact, dust, and dirt during transport, but it should not be treated as a waterproof equipment case.
The dock also supports connection to certain third-party PTT and interoperability equipment. Compatibility with external radio systems or vehicle audio equipment should be confirmed before installation.
