Automatic Water Activation

The HemiLight 3 begins flashing automatically when it contacts fresh or salt water. Once activated, it continues operating even after the sensors are removed from the water and can be switched off using the red manual deactivation button.

Life Jacket Installation

The included attachment clip allows the light to be fitted to webbing up to 5 cm, or 2 inches, wide. Its compact housing and rounded edges are designed to reduce the risk of damaging inflatable life jacket material.

The HemiLight 3 can be installed on most recreational and commercial life jackets, making it suitable for passenger vessels, commercial marine crews, offshore workers, and personal boating safety equipment.

Operating Life and Battery

A sealed, non-replaceable lithium battery provides a five-year service life and more than 20 hours of flashing operation after activation. The battery meets DOT and IATA requirements for safe transport.

The complete light should be replaced when the marked battery expiration or service date is reached.

Marine Durability and Approvals

The polycarbonate housing is watertight to 10 feet, or 3 meters, and projects light across the upper hemisphere. The HemiLight 3 is approved to applicable USCG SOLAS and MED SOLAS life jacket light requirements.
