ACR Ocean Signal rescueME EPIRB1 702S-01540
Description
Global Emergency Alerting
The rescueME EPIRB1 is designed for one purpose: helping search and rescue authorities locate your vessel as quickly as possible during a life-threatening emergency. Once activated, the beacon transmits a unique 406 MHz distress signal through the Cospas-Sarsat satellite network, while the integrated 66-channel GPS determines your location and includes precise position data in the distress alert.
A separate 121.5 MHz homing transmitter helps nearby aircraft and rescue vessels locate you during the final stage of a rescue, while two high-intensity LED strobes improve visibility in low-light conditions. Unlike satellite communicators, the EPIRB1 requires no subscription or service plan, making it a dependable long-term safety device with minimal ongoing ownership costs.
Compact, Rugged, and Ready for Deployment
Designed specifically for marine environments, the rescueME EPIRB1 combines a compact form factor with rugged construction suitable for offshore use. Its retractable antenna protects the beacon during storage while allowing rapid deployment when needed, and the supplied quick-release bracket keeps the unit securely mounted yet immediately accessible.
A protective switch cover helps prevent accidental activation while ensuring the beacon remains easy to operate during an emergency.
Built for Offshore Safety
Whether carried aboard a small recreational boat or installed on a larger offshore vessel, the rescueME EPIRB1 provides an important layer of emergency preparedness.
It is well suited for:
- Recreational boating
- Coastal and offshore sailing
- Sport fishing
- Commercial fishing vessels
- Workboats
- Offshore cruising
- Emergency abandon-ship grab bags
Its compact size also makes it easy to store inside a life raft or emergency ditch bag while remaining readily accessible if evacuation becomes necessary.
Long-Term Reliability
The rescueME EPIRB1 is engineered for years of dependable service with minimal maintenance. A user-replaceable battery is not required during normal ownership, providing a 10-year battery storage life before scheduled replacement. Once activated, the beacon is designed to continue transmitting for more than 48 hours, exceeding international EPIRB performance requirements.
Manufactured in the United Kingdom and certified to internationally recognized Cospas-Sarsat and marine standards, the EPIRB1 provides dependable emergency signaling for vessels operating around the world.
