Features:

The ACR Pathfinder PRO Search & Rescue Transponder (SART) is a SOLAS-approved emergency beacon designed to help rescue teams quickly locate survival craft during maritime emergencies. When activated by nearby X-band marine radar, it responds by transmitting a distinctive series of radar signals that clearly identify the survivor's location on the rescuer's radar display.

Designed for commercial vessels, passenger ships, offshore operations, and any vessel required to comply with GMDSS regulations, the Pathfinder PRO is compact, easy to deploy, and built for dependable operation in harsh marine environments. This version includes the vessel mounting bracket, integral telescopic mounting pole, and a non-hazardous lithium battery with a five-year replacement interval.

Satellite Phone Store supplies genuine ACR marine safety equipment backed by knowledgeable product support and fast shipping, helping vessel owners and operators maintain compliant emergency communication systems.

Description

Designed for Maritime Search and Rescue

The Pathfinder PRO is a Search and Rescue Transponder (SART) used as part of the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS). Once activated and interrogated by an X-band marine radar, it generates a sequence of 12 highly visible radar responses that guide rescuers directly toward the survival craft. The first radar mark identifies the SART's position, allowing rescue vessels to quickly determine the correct search direction.

The Pathfinder PRO is required equipment on many SOLAS-class commercial vessels and is commonly carried aboard lifeboats and life rafts.

Ready When Every Second Matters

The unit is designed for rapid deployment during an emergency. A protective safety cover helps prevent accidental activation while still allowing quick operation when needed.

The included telescopic mounting pole allows the SART to be positioned higher above the water, improving radar visibility from nearby rescue vessels. It can also be suspended inside a survival craft for hands-free operation.

Built for Demanding Marine Environments

The Pathfinder PRO is engineered for continuous readiness aboard commercial and offshore vessels. Its rugged waterproof housing withstands harsh marine conditions, while the non-hazardous lithium battery provides more than 96 hours of standby operation and at least 12 hours of active operation after radar interrogation. The battery has a five-year replacement interval, reducing routine maintenance requirements.

Compact and Easy to Install

Measuring just under 9 inches long, the Pathfinder PRO stores easily inside a liferaft or emergency equipment locker. The included wall mounting bracket keeps the unit securely stored while allowing immediate access during an emergency.
