ACR RCL-600A Remote Controlled Searchlight with Joystick Panel - 1941

High-Intensity Xenon Beam

The RCL-600A uses a 150W Xenon short-arc lamp and parabolic glass reflector to produce a focused beam rated at 6 million candela. The joystick panel includes focus control, allowing the operator to narrow the beam for longer-distance viewing or broaden it to illuminate a wider area.

Remote Directional Control

The joystick provides up, down, left, and right control from a protected position aboard the vessel. The housing rotates continuously through 360 degrees and offers 18 degrees of upward and 30 degrees of downward movement.

An automatic-return function can bring the light back to a preset position. A second joystick panel, ACR part 1942, can be added for control from another station.

Marine Construction

The lamp housing and base are made from powder-coated cast aluminum, with a tempered-glass lens and protected internal motors and elevation components. Nylon shoulder washers at the base help reduce galvanic reaction between the searchlight and its mounting surface.

Power and Installation

Product 1941 requires a fused 24V DC power source rated for 10A. The installer must supply properly sized power and control wiring based on the length of the cable run.

The joystick panel should be installed in a protected location. Gasketing or marine sealant is required when a water-resistant panel installation is needed. The light should only be moved electrically; manually rotating the housing can damage the internal drive mechanism.
