ACR ResQFlare (Electronic Distress Flare) LNK-ERS1
Description
A Safer Alternative to Traditional Flares
The ResQFlare replaces the hazards associated with pyrotechnic flares with a powerful LED distress signal that's easy to operate, reusable, and safe to store onboard. When carried together with the included USCG-approved daytime distress flag, it qualifies as a replacement for traditional pyrotechnic visual distress signals on vessels subject to applicable U.S. Coast Guard carriage requirements.
Unlike conventional flares that expire after a few years, the ResQFlare has no expiration date. Users simply replace the batteries annually to keep the unit ready for use.
Highly Visible Day or Night
The seven high-efficiency LEDs produce a flashing SOS distress pattern with 360-degree visibility for over 6 miles, helping nearby vessels and rescue personnel quickly identify your location. During daylight hours, the included 36-inch distress flag provides a recognized visual distress signal that complements the electronic flare.
For even greater safety, the ResQFlare works exceptionally well alongside an EPIRB or Personal Locator Beacon, providing a visual reference after emergency responders have already received your distress location.
Built for Marine Environments
Designed specifically for use on the water, the ResQFlare features a waterproof IP67-rated housing and an inherently buoyant design that floats without requiring an additional flotation collar. Its compact size makes it easy to store in a ditch bag, emergency kit, or onboard safety compartment, while manual activation allows the device to be deployed quickly during an emergency.
Because it uses standard alkaline C-cell batteries, replacements are easy to find almost anywhere.
Ideal for Recreational Boaters
The ResQFlare is an excellent addition to a wide variety of marine safety kits, including:
- Recreational powerboats
- Sailboats
- Fishing boats
- Personal watercraft
- Kayaks and canoes
- Emergency ditch bags
- Coastal cruising vessels
Its long operating life and reusable design make it a practical investment for boaters looking to reduce the ongoing cost and disposal concerns associated with traditional pyrotechnic flares.
