Description
Hirose Accessory Connection
The AD-118 converts the IC-SAT100’s 14-pin accessory port to a 6-pin Hirose connector. This allows the radio to work with selected professional audio accessories that use the common Hirose interface.
Secure Radio Attachment
The adapter is designed to attach tightly to the transceiver, providing a stable connection for accessories used during mobile or field operations. It should be installed fully and secured according to Icom’s instructions before connecting the external accessory.
Accessory Compatibility
Icom lists the AD-118 as an optional adapter for the IC-SAT100 satellite PTT handheld. Only Icom-recommended or otherwise confirmed compatible accessories should be used, since an unsupported headset or PTT assembly may not provide correct audio, microphone, or accessory-detection functions.
Protected Use
The AD-118 does not carry the same published IP67 protection as the IC-SAT100 radio. Icom instructs users not to expose the adapter and connected transceiver to rain, snow, or other liquids. The connector cover should remain installed whenever an accessory is not connected.
