The Intellian VCM-1071 is an Advantech Wireless SSPBMg-K125-CRE 125W block upconverter for compatible high-power maritime VSAT systems. It converts a 950–1,700 MHz L-band signal into a 13.75–14.5 GHz extended Ku-band uplink signal and provides up to +51 dBm of saturated RF output.

Designed for larger commercial vessels and offshore installations, the BUC uses GaN amplifier technology and includes RS-485 and Ethernet monitoring and control. Its weatherproof outdoor construction supports antenna-mounted operation in demanding marine environments.

Description

High-Power Extended Ku-Band Transmission

The SSPBMg-K125-CRE operates across the 13.75–14.5 GHz extended Ku-band uplink range and accepts a 950–1,700 MHz L-band input. It uses a 12.8 GHz local oscillator and an external 10 MHz reference for stable frequency conversion.

125W GaN RF Output

The BUC provides a typical saturated output of +51 dBm, equivalent to approximately 125W. Its specified linear output is +47 dBm, while minimum BUC gain is 73 dB. A 20 dB gain-adjustment range in 0.1 dB steps supports accurate transmit-level configuration during installation and commissioning.

This power class is intended for compatible maritime and fixed satellite systems that require greater uplink capability for broadband data, voice, operational communications, and crew connectivity.

Integrated Monitoring and Control

RS-485 and Ethernet interfaces provide access to operating status and control functions from compatible antenna or network-management equipment. The platform is also designed to support redundant configurations when the system is equipped with the necessary additional hardware.

AC-Powered Outdoor Installation

The BUC accepts 90–265V AC at 47–63 Hz and uses a dedicated MS3102-type power connection. Nominal power consumption for the 125W model is 900W at saturated output and 625W at the specified linear-output level.

Its weatherproof enclosure is intended for outdoor antenna installation. The standard operating range is -30–55°C, with optional cold-weather configurations available for operation down to -40°C or -50°C.
