Dedicated Antenna Cooling

The VC1-2104 provides active cooling for compatible Intellian antenna enclosures. It helps manage heat produced by antenna electronics and RF equipment, particularly in installations exposed to high ambient temperatures or solar heating.

Aeron describes the AM-01 as a compact, ready-to-use unit developed specifically for antenna cooling. The compressor, evaporator, and air-cooled condenser are housed together inside the enclosure.

3.5 kW Cooling Capacity

The AM-01 has a rated cooling capacity of approximately 3.5 kW under the manufacturer’s stated 30°C/7°C test condition. It operates from a 230V AC, 60 Hz electrical supply and uses R-134a refrigerant.

An integrated thermostat and on/off switch provide local control. The system also includes separate evaporator and condenser fans to move conditioned air and discharge heat.

Marine-Grade Construction

The unit uses a stainless-steel enclosure and is designed to operate in surrounding temperatures up to 60°C / 140°F. This construction is intended for fixed marine and offshore installations where equipment may be exposed to heat, moisture, vibration, and salt-laden air.

Professional Installation

The VC1-2104 requires a suitable AC supply, condensate drainage, airflow connections, and antenna-specific installation hardware. Depending on the antenna configuration, separate ducting, mounting frames, skirts, sealing materials, and control wiring may also be required.

Installation should be completed by qualified marine HVAC and satellite-communications personnel following current Intellian and Aeron documentation.

Compatibility Confirmation

Public listings identify VC1-2104 as the Intellian version of the Aeron AM-01 external antenna air conditioner, but they do not provide a complete list of compatible Intellian antenna models. The antenna, radome, ducting, and mounting configuration should therefore be confirmed before ordering.
