Features:

The ICOM AP-95M is a dual-band wireless access point designed for ICOM IP/Wi-Fi radio systems and general business networking. It supports simultaneous 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz operation, IEEE 802.11ac Wave 2, and theoretical wireless data rates up to 867 Mbps.

The AP-95M can be used as a single access point or combined with additional units to extend coverage across offices, warehouses, campuses, hospitality properties, and industrial facilities. Power over Ethernet support simplifies installation by allowing compatible network data and power to share one Ethernet cable.

Satellite Phone Store can help confirm access point placement, network controllers, Wi-Fi radios, PoE equipment, and system compatibility when configuring an ICOM IP communication network.

Description

Wireless Coverage for ICOM IP Radio Systems

The AP-95M provides the wireless network connection used by compatible ICOM Wi-Fi radios and dispatch equipment. Multiple access points can be installed across a building or site to expand coverage and allow users to move between supported areas while remaining connected to the IP radio system.

It is suitable for:

  • Warehouses and distribution centers
  • Hotels, schools, and campuses
  • Offices and commercial facilities
  • Manufacturing and industrial sites
  • Security and facility-management networks

Dual-Band 802.11ac Performance

The access point operates simultaneously on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. It supports IEEE 802.11a, b, g, n, and ac wireless standards, with theoretical rates up to 867 Mbps on compatible 5 GHz devices.

Beamforming and 2 × 2 MU-MIMO help direct wireless signals toward compatible devices and reduce interference when multiple terminals are communicating.

Separate Wireless Groups

The Virtual AP function supports up to eight wireless terminal groups on each frequency band, allowing as many as 16 SSIDs across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios. Each virtual access point can use its own VLAN ID and security settings.

This allows one AP-95M to separate traffic for different departments, device groups, visitors, or communication systems.

Automatic Network Management

The AP-95M can automatically select a wireless channel according to nearby signal conditions. Automatic power adjustment and terminal connection limits help reduce interference and prevent excessive device concentration from lowering network performance.

Configuration and firmware updates can be completed through a standard web browser. The access point also supports SNMP for network monitoring and centralized management.

Flexible Power and Installation

The AP-95M can operate through IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet or a compatible 12V DC power adapter. The supplied mounting bracket allows installation on a wall or ceiling, which ICOM recommends because the unit transmits and receives through its top surface.
