Private Voice Calls Through the Dock

The handset allows calls to be handled privately in vehicles, command centers, offices, and other shared environments where the docking station’s speakerphone may not be appropriate. It connects directly to the compatible Beam dock and operates as a traditional corded telephone handset.

This accessory is intended for private voice calls. It is not a replacement for Beam’s corded or wireless push-to-talk handset kits used to control PTT group communication.

Automatic Answer and Hang-Up

The active hang-up cup detects when the handset is lifted or replaced. Removing the handset from the cup answers an incoming call, while returning it ends the call automatically.

For hands-free operation through the docking station, the privacy handset must remain correctly seated in the cup.

Flexible Dock-Side Installation

The included RST755EX-style mounting bracket can be installed in either a left-facing or right-facing position. This allows the handset to be positioned around the available space in a vehicle console, equipment rack, desk, or fixed communication station.

The coiled cord extends up to approximately 6 feet, giving the operator room to use the handset while remaining connected to the dock.

Compatibility and Support

This handset is intended for compatible Beam Iridium Extreme docking station and PTT installations. Compatibility should be confirmed before purchase, particularly when replacing an existing handset or adding it to a dock with a separate PTT microphone.

Beam provides a 12-month manufacturer warranty for the RST755EX privacy handset assembly.
