Blue Sky SkyLink SOS Switch
The Blue Sky SkyLink SOS Switch provides remote emergency activation for a compatible SkyLink system. It allows an SOS alert to be triggered from an accessible location without operating the SkyLink terminal directly.
The switch is hardwired to the AC/DC adapter plug used with the SkyLink Battery Pack’s AC and DC power-input cables. It is suited to vehicles, vessels, remote facilities, and other installations where a dedicated emergency control must remain easy to reach.
Description
Remote SOS Activation
The switch provides a dedicated physical control for initiating the configured SkyLink SOS function. Installing it in an accessible position allows personnel to activate an emergency alert without reaching the main communication equipment.
Battery Pack Integration
The SOS Switch is designed to be hardwired into the AC/DC adapter plug associated with the SkyLink Battery Pack’s AC and DC input cables. This makes it part of the installed power and emergency-communication setup rather than a standalone wireless accessory.
Fixed and Mobile Installations
The switch is suitable for SkyLink installations aboard vehicles, vessels, and at remote operating sites. Blue Sky also uses SOS-switch functionality in maritime SkyLink Citadel systems, where it supports rapid transmission of an emergency message from the vessel.
Configuration and Installation
Professional installation is recommended because the switch must be correctly wired into the compatible SkyLink power configuration. SOS recipients, alert behavior, and monitoring procedures should also be configured and tested as part of the complete SkyLink system.
