ICOM IC-SAT100 BP300 Battery Pack
Description
Replacement or Spare Power
The BP-300 is the standard battery pack used by the Icom IC-SAT100 handheld satellite PTT radio. A spare charged battery allows operators to restore power without waiting for the installed pack to recharge, which is practical for remote crews, emergency response teams, transportation operations, and other extended assignments.
Operating Time
Icom rates the BP-300 for approximately 14.5 hours of IC-SAT100 operation based on a duty cycle of 5% transmitting, 5% receiving, and 90% standby. More frequent PTT use, weak satellite reception, cold temperatures, and higher audio levels may reduce available runtime.
Charging Options
The battery can be charged in the Icom BC-241 desktop charger. Icom specifies an approximate charging time of 3.1 hours with the supplied charging system. The BP-300 is also supported by compatible multi-bay charging configurations using the Icom BC-214N and AD-140 charger adapters.
Battery Care
For dependable service life, the battery should be charged with compatible Icom equipment and stored in a cool, dry location. It should be inspected regularly and removed from service if the housing becomes swollen, cracked, overheated, or otherwise damaged.
