Description
Reliable Broadband for Maritime Operations
The SAILOR 250 FleetBroadband system provides broadband connectivity across the Inmarsat FleetBroadband network, allowing vessels to remain connected well beyond the reach of coastal cellular coverage. It supports internet browsing, email, secure VPN access, weather downloads, electronic chart updates, VoIP, and operational data, making it suitable for both business and crew communications.
Its always-on IP connectivity allows crews and shore teams to exchange information efficiently while supporting a wide range of maritime applications.
Optimized for Professional Installations
This version features a 19-inch rack-mounted Below Deck Unit, making it well suited for vessels with dedicated communications rooms or integrated bridge electronics. The rack-mounted design simplifies equipment organization, improves accessibility for maintenance, and integrates neatly alongside other onboard communication systems.
The compact Above Deck Unit (ADU) automatically tracks Inmarsat satellites using a stabilized antenna platform, maintaining a reliable connection even as vessel heading and sea conditions change.
Voice and Data in One System
The SAILOR 250 supports simultaneous voice and IP data services, allowing crews to stay connected while operational data continues to flow in the background. Standard Ethernet interfaces make it easy to integrate with onboard networks, while voice ports support satellite telephony for routine and emergency communications.
Typical applications include:
- Commercial shipping
- Offshore support vessels
- Fishing fleets
- Government and research vessels
- Luxury yachts
- Workboats
- Fleet operations
- Crew welfare communications
Built for Continuous Marine Service
Designed specifically for maritime environments, the SAILOR 250 combines a rugged stabilized antenna with reliable below-deck electronics engineered for long-term operation at sea. Automatic satellite acquisition and tracking reduce operator involvement while helping maintain consistent communications throughout a voyage.
The system is compatible with numerous maritime software applications, including vessel monitoring, engine diagnostics, remote maintenance, and electronic reporting systems.
