Description
HD Television for Marine Installations
The Wally receives DISH Network satellite programming through a compatible Intellian marine TV antenna system and outputs the selected channel to a connected television. Its compact enclosure fits more easily into entertainment cabinets and other below-deck equipment spaces than larger home receivers.
Intellian Antenna Integration
For automatic switching between DISH satellites, the Wally can be used with the Intellian MIM-2 Multi-Satellite Interface Module and a compatible Intellian i-Series, s-Series, or t-Series antenna. The MIM-2 monitors the master receiver and directs the antenna to the satellite carrying the selected channel.
This configuration is practical for:
- Recreational boats and yachts
- Commercial-vessel crew entertainment
- Replacement of an existing compatible Wally receiver
- Multi-TV systems using a separate receiver for each television
Compatibility should be confirmed against the antenna, antenna control unit, MIM version, and vessel wiring before installation.
HD and Standard-Definition Outputs
The receiver includes HDMI output for high-definition televisions and RCA composite output for older standard-definition displays. An Ethernet port supports wired internet connectivity, while Wi-Fi requires a compatible USB wireless adapter.
Optional Internet and Recording Features
When connected to the internet, the Wally supports DISH applications and on-demand content. Services such as Netflix require an active internet connection and the appropriate separate subscription. Wireless internet access requires a compatible USB Wi-Fi adapter.
DVR functionality can be added by connecting a compatible external USB hard drive and activating the recording feature through DISH. The Wally can record one program at a time when configured with an external drive.
Receiver Activation and Service
The Wally requires activation and an active DISH Network programming plan. Available channels, local programming, applications, and service terms depend on the selected DISH package and the vessel’s location.
