Private Incoming Audio
The EH-15B fits in the ear and allows incoming radio audio to be heard without using the IC-SAT100’s built-in speaker. This is useful in shared workspaces, public locations, and moderately noisy environments where operators need to monitor communications more discreetly.
Connection Through the HM-163MC
The earphone has a 2.5 mm plug and connects to the dedicated earphone jack on the Icom HM-163MC tie-clip microphone. The HM-163MC then connects to the compatible radio and provides the microphone used for transmitting.
Compact Everyday Design
The canal-style earphone uses a lightweight cable that can be routed under clothing or alongside radio equipment. Large and small earpieces are supplied to provide a more suitable fit for different users.
Equipment Compatibility
For an IC-SAT100 installation, the EH-15B must be used together with the HM-163MC tie-clip microphone. Icom lists the HM-163MC as compatible with the IC-SAT100 satellite PTT radio.
