ACR Firefly PRO SOLAS LED Rescue Strobe Light – Carded
Description
Three Visual Signaling Modes
The Firefly PRO SOLAS provides three manually selected lighting modes. Standard strobe mode produces a regular high-intensity flash, while SOS mode automatically flashes the international Morse-code distress pattern. Steady-on mode provides continuous illumination during close-range recovery, equipment handling, or boarding.
Modes are selected by toggling the manual on/off switch. Unlike the Firefly PRO Waterbug, the SOLAS version does not activate automatically when it enters the water.
Long-Range 360° Visibility
Wide-emission cool-white LEDs distribute light through a 360° horizontal beam. The strobe produces 41 peak candela and is rated for visibility beyond 3 miles, helping vessels, aircraft, and shore-based search teams identify the user’s location in darkness or reduced visibility.
The strobe flashes approximately 60 times per minute. Cool-white LEDs avoid the yellow tint associated with some older light sources and provide a clearly recognizable emergency signal.
Extended Battery Operation
The Firefly PRO uses two replaceable AA batteries. With lithium AA batteries installed, it provides:
- More than 56 hours in standard strobe mode
- Approximately 30 hours in SOS mode
- Approximately 28 hours in steady-on mode
Lithium batteries are recommended for the stated operating times and reliable performance in demanding conditions. Batteries are not included with the carded version.
Compact Attachment Options
The compact housing weighs 68 g without batteries and can be carried inside an inflatable life jacket or emergency pack. Two integrated lashing points and the included hook-and-loop webbing strap allow it to be secured to a life jacket, clothing, belt, backpack, or other safety equipment.
The light should remain attached and accessible rather than stored deep inside a bag where it may be difficult to reach during an emergency.
Waterproof and Approved for Marine Safety
The Firefly PRO SOLAS is factory tested for water resistance to 10 m (33 ft.). Its housing is designed for marine, aviation, outdoor, and emergency-response use.
The light carries SOLAS, USCG, MED, IMO LSA, and CE approvals. It is a visual signaling device and does not transmit a distress alert or GPS position to rescue authorities.
