Backpack Strap Attachment

The durable nylon wrap secures around a backpack shoulder strap or similar equipment strap using a hook-and-loop closure. It accommodates straps up to 9.5 cm (3.75 in.) wide and can also be installed on compatible MOLLE webbing.

Accessible Device Storage

The hook-and-loop holder keeps the Garmin handheld positioned on the outside of the pack, where it remains visible and easy to reach. This placement can also help maintain a clear view of the sky for GPS and satellite communication functions.

Adjustable Safety Tether

When the handheld is removed from the holder, the spine-mount connection and adjustable lanyard keep it attached to the backpack. The tether adjusts from approximately 5.1 to 35.6 cm (2 to 14 in.).

Garmin Handheld Compatibility

The tether is designed for compatible Garmin handhelds that use Garmin’s spine-mount system, including select GPSMAP, Oregon, eTrex, Alpha, and inReach devices. Compatibility should be confirmed for the specific device model.
