Detailed Handheld Navigation
The eTrex Touch comes with routable TopoActive mapping for roads and trails, along with terrain contours, elevations, summits, parks, waterways, and points of interest. The 3-inch color touchscreen allows users to swipe and zoom around the map for a more familiar navigation experience than traditional button-only handheld GPS units.
Reliable Positioning Outdoors
Multi-band GPS and multi-GNSS support allow the eTrex Touch to receive multiple satellite frequencies for improved positioning in areas where trees, terrain, or other obstacles can make navigation more difficult. SatIQ technology automatically manages satellite modes to balance accuracy and battery consumption.
Route Planning and Outdoor Tools
The eTrex Touch supports point-to-point navigation, TracBack, round-trip routing, popularity routing, ascent planning, and a tilt-compensated 3-axis electronic compass. It also supports Geocaching Live, allowing connected users to access cache descriptions, logs, hints, and other geocaching information.
Pairing the navigator with the Garmin Explore app allows users to plan and review trips, organize waypoints and courses, manage activities, and access additional trip information from a compatible smartphone or tablet.
Expandable Mapping
Users who need additional mapping detail can add an Outdoor Maps+ subscription. Available premium content includes satellite imagery and other enhanced mapping layers, with map downloads and updates available through Wi-Fi.
Built for Long Trips
The rechargeable internal lithium-ion battery provides up to 130 hours of typical use with all satellite systems plus multi-band positioning. Expedition mode extends battery life to as much as 650 hours when maximum runtime is more important than frequent position updates.
Rugged Outdoor Construction
The eTrex Touch carries an IP67 rating for dust and water protection and is built to MIL-STD-810 standards for rugged outdoor use. It can withstand incidental immersion in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes and operates in temperatures from -4°F to 140°F.
