Portable Power for Phones and Tablets

The Flip 36 provides up to 10.5W of USB power for small personal electronics. Its larger capacity makes it more suitable for tablets and repeated phone charging than the smaller Flip models.

Goal Zero estimates that a fully charged Flip 36 can provide approximately:

• Three smartphone recharges
• Five action-camera recharges
• Five to ten headlamp recharges
• One tablet recharge

Actual results vary according to the device battery, charging efficiency, temperature, and whether the device is being used while charging.

Built-In USB Recharging

The integrated flip-out USB-A plug connects directly to a USB wall adapter, computer, or other powered USB port. This eliminates the need to carry a separate cable for recharging the power bank itself.

A full recharge takes approximately five hours from a suitable USB power source.

Compatible with Nomad Solar Panels

The Flip 36 can be recharged from compatible Goal Zero Nomad solar panels. Estimated recharge times under suitable sunlight are:

• Nomad 5: Approximately 12–15 hours
• Nomad 10: Approximately 6–12 hours
• Nomad 20: Approximately 5–8 hours

Solar charging time varies with panel angle, cloud cover, shade, temperature, and the strength of available sunlight.

Pass-Through Charging

Pass-through operation allows the Flip 36 to power a connected device while the power bank itself is charging. This can be useful when only one USB power source is available, although total charging time may increase.

Compact Travel Design

The Flip 36 weighs 193 g / 6.8 oz. and measures less than four inches tall. It fits easily in a backpack, vehicle compartment, travel bag, or emergency kit while providing more stored energy than the Flip 24. An LED indicator displays the approximate remaining battery level.
