Backup Power for Selected Circuits

The Home Integration Kit provides a direct connection between a compatible Yeti power station and up to four circuits in an indoor breaker panel. Instead of running separate extension cords during an outage, selected lights, outlets, or appliances can receive power through their existing household wiring.

Manual Transfer Operation

Each circuit has a manual switch that selects utility or Yeti power. When utility service is interrupted, the connected circuits can be transferred individually to the power station. Once utility power returns, the switches are moved back to their normal line positions.

Circuit Selection and Runtime

A licensed electrician can help select circuits that remain within the transfer switch and power station limits. Common choices include:

• Refrigerator or freezer
• Internet modem and router
• Essential lighting
• Garage door opener
• Outlets in frequently used rooms

Available runtime depends on the capacity of the connected Yeti and the combined power consumption of the selected appliances. High-starting-load appliances must also remain within the power station’s inverter limits.

Power Station Compatibility

Goal Zero specifies the Home Integration Kit for Yeti X and Yeti Lithium power stations rated at 1,000W or higher. The current product guidance calls for a Yeti 1000X or larger model. The Yeti power station supplies the energy and must be purchased separately.

Professional Installation

The transfer switch must be installed by a qualified licensed electrician familiar with applicable electrical and building codes. It is intended for use with indoor circuit-breaker panels. Once installed, the included 10-foot cable connects the transfer switch inlet to the compatible Yeti power station.
