Hughes HL1120W Mast Adapter Mount
The Hughes HL1120W Mast Adapter Mount secures the HL1120W outdoor antenna to an existing pole with a 2-3/8-inch outside diameter. It provides a fixed installation option for sites that already have a suitable mast, including commercial buildings, communications facilities, remote sites, and other permanent OneWeb LEO deployments.
The mount includes a short adjustable stanchion that allows the antenna to be set at the required 3-degree forward tilt for drainage. The adapter clamps around the pole with three carriage bolts and nylon nuts, while the blind-mate guide and supplied hardware secure the HL1120W to the stanchion.

Description
Installation on an Existing Mast
The mast adapter is designed for a suitable pole measuring 2.375 inches, or 60 mm, in outside diameter. It allows installers to use an existing mast rather than adding a roof tray, penetrating base, or separate Trimast structure.
Secure Pole Attachment
The cylindrical adapter fits over the supporting pole and is secured using three 5/16-18 carriage bolts and matching nylon nuts. Hughes specifies tightening the carriage bolts to hold the adapter canister firmly around the pole before attaching the stanchion and antenna.
Adjustable Short Stanchion
This mounting configuration uses the supplied short stanchion. The stanchion pivots around its lower bolts, allowing the installer to adjust the antenna angle before tightening the hardware to its final torque. Hughes states that the tall stanchion must not be used with a mast-adapter configuration.
Required Antenna Tilt
The HL1120W must be installed with 3 degrees of forward tilt to promote water drainage from the antenna surface. Hughes specifies using an inclinometer to verify the angle before fully tightening the stanchion hardware.
HL1120W Mounting Interface
A blind-mate guide attaches to the underside of the HL1120W and slides into the short stanchion. The included hardware kit provides the bolts, washers, and spring locks required to connect the antenna, stanchion, and mast adapter.
