Description
Modem-to-Antenna Connection
This cable connects the Hughes 9450 Indoor Unit to its external tracking antenna. The single coaxial connection carries the L-band RF signal, antenna control signaling, and 42V DC antenna power, reducing the need for separate signal and power cables between the two components.
Vehicle Installation
The 10 m cable is intended for mobile BGAN installations where the modem is mounted inside the vehicle and the antenna is installed on the roof. Its length supports routing through utility vehicles, emergency response units, mobile offices, and other fleet platforms.
The cable should be routed away from sharp edges, excessive heat, moving components, and areas where it may be crushed or repeatedly flexed.
Hughes 9450 Compatibility
Hughes lists part number 3501053-0001 as the 10 m TNC-to-TNC RF cable for the 9450 series. It is used with Hughes 9450TW, 9450E, and 9450L mobile terminals and is included with applicable C10 terminal kits.
Because the cable carries DC power to the antenna, it should not be connected or disconnected while the terminal is powered on.
