Hughes 9450Е-C11 Mobile BGAN Terminal (PoE Ethernet, RJ11 phone/fax and ISDN)
The Hughes 9450E-C11 Mobile BGAN is a fully autonomous mobile satellite terminal designed to provide reliable broadband, voice, fax, and ISDN communications while vehicles are in motion. Operating over the Inmarsat Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN), the 9450E-C11 enables users to maintain continuous IP connectivity, voice communications, and mission-critical applications virtually anywhere within BGAN coverage. It is well suited for public safety, emergency response, utilities, government, broadcast, mining, oil and gas, and field service organizations that require dependable communications while on the move.
Unlike entry-level mobile BGAN terminals, the 9450E-C11 includes four Power over Ethernet (PoE) LAN ports, two RJ11 ports for voice and fax, and an ISDN interface, allowing it to support multiple network devices and legacy communications equipment simultaneously. The low-profile tracking antenna automatically acquires and tracks the Inmarsat satellite without user intervention, while the compact transceiver can be installed inside virtually any vehicle. Purchased from Satellite Phone Store, the Hughes 9450E-C11 can be paired with a range of BGAN airtime plans for both IP data and voice services.
Description
Broadband Connectivity While on the Move
The Hughes 9450E-C11 is designed for users who need reliable satellite communications without stopping to deploy equipment. Its fully autonomous tracking antenna continuously acquires and maintains the BGAN satellite signal while the vehicle is moving, allowing crews to remain connected throughout their journey.
Supporting background IP data rates of up to 464 Kbps and streaming IP services up to 128 Kbps, the terminal enables remote office connectivity, secure VPN access, video transmission, VoIP, telemetry, remote monitoring, and operational data exchange in areas where terrestrial networks are unavailable. Selectable Quality of Service (QoS) profiles also allow bandwidth to be prioritized for applications that require guaranteed performance.
Multiple Communication Interfaces in One System
The 9450E-C11 is designed to serve as a complete communications hub for mobile operations. Four integrated Gigabit Ethernet ports with Power over Ethernet support make it easy to connect routers, cameras, computers, wireless access points, and other network equipment without requiring separate power injectors.
For voice communications, the terminal supports simultaneous IP data and circuit-switched services through two dedicated RJ11 ports, allowing one line for telephone service and another for fax. An integrated ISDN interface provides compatibility with legacy communications equipment that remains common in government, broadcast, and emergency response environments. This flexibility allows organizations to support both modern IP networking and traditional voice systems from a single mobile terminal.
Built for Vehicle Deployment
The compact transceiver installs safely inside a vehicle while the low-profile antenna is mounted externally, maintaining continuous satellite tracking with minimal user interaction. Installation requires only a single RF cable between the antenna and transceiver, simplifying vehicle integration and reducing installation complexity.
The antenna is designed to withstand demanding operating conditions, including temperatures from -25°C to +55°C, wind speeds up to 125 mph (200 km/h), and IP56 protection against dust and water ingress. These characteristics make the system suitable for emergency vehicles, utility fleets, command vehicles, media trucks, and other mobile platforms operating in challenging environments.
Designed for Mission-Critical Operations
The Hughes 9450E-C11 is widely used by organizations that require dependable communications regardless of local infrastructure availability. It provides reliable connectivity for disaster response, public safety, utility maintenance, military support, oil and gas exploration, forestry operations, mobile healthcare, and remote field services.
Because the system supports simultaneous voice, data, fax, and ISDN communications while the vehicle is in motion, teams can maintain contact with headquarters, exchange operational data, and coordinate field activities without interrupting their work.
