Combined Power and Ethernet Cable

The cable connects to the Hughes 9410’s single power-and-data port and carries both 12V DC power and Ethernet signals. Combining these connections simplifies cable routing between a roof-mounted terminal and equipment installed inside a vehicle, shelter, or communications enclosure.

Blunt-Wire Installation

The unterminated end exposes separate conductors for power, ground, ignition sensing, and Ethernet. This allows the cable to be integrated into a vehicle fuse panel, power-distribution system, or custom network installation by a qualified technician.

The conductor functions are:

• Red: +12V DC power
• Black: Ground
• White: Remote switch or ignition sense
• Green and white/green: Ethernet receive
• Orange and white/orange: Ethernet transmit
• Yellow: Reserved for future use

Network Connection Options

The Ethernet conductors can be terminated using the optional Hughes RJ45 Wiring Block, part number 9510250-0002. Hughes specifies a straight-through Ethernet connection between the cable conductors and the RJ45 interface.

Permanent 12V Vehicle Installations

The cable is intended for connection to a fused 12V DC supply. Hughes specifies a 10A fuse at the power source and requires the selected circuit to provide at least 6A. The white ignition-sense conductor may be connected to a switched 12V source so the terminal operates with the vehicle ignition.

The 10 m length supports installations in utility vehicles, emergency response units, mobile command platforms, transport fleets, and remote monitoring vehicles where the terminal and internal equipment are separated by a longer cable route.
