Rapid Charging for Compatible Batteries

The BC-226 provides an 840 mA charging current for supported ICOM lithium-ion battery packs. It can charge a compatible battery on its own or while installed in a supported handheld radio.

Compatible battery packs include:

• ICOM BP-283
• ICOM BP-284
• ICOM BP-290
• ICOM BP-294
• ICOM BP-303
• ICOM BP-303N

An integrated 10.5-hour overcharge protection timer helps manage extended charging sessions.

Connect Up to Six Chargers

Multiple BC-226 units can be connected side by side to create a charging station for up to six radios or battery packs. This provides a more organized setup for teams that need several radios ready for daily operation.

The ICOM BC-228 AC adapter is required when connecting two to six BC-226 chargers.

Single-Charger Power Options

A single BC-226 can be powered with the straight-plug version of the ICOM BC-123S AC adapter. The higher-capacity BC-228 adapter may also be used with one charger.

The AC adapter is not supplied with the BC-226 and must be selected separately for the intended charging configuration.
