Description
Power for Connected Charger Banks
The BC-228 provides the higher-capacity power supply required when multiple compatible ICOM chargers are linked together. Its regulated 15V DC, 4A output supports a shared charging arrangement without requiring a separate AC adapter for every charger base.
Compatible Charger Configurations
ICOM identifies the BC-228 for use with several connectable charging systems:
- Two to six BC-226 desktop chargers
- Two to six BC-202IP3L desktop chargers
- Two to four BC-257 charger stands
- Compatible BC-269 multi-connectable charger arrangements
The number of supported chargers depends on the specific charger model and should follow ICOM’s connection instructions.
Universal AC Input
The adapter accepts 100–240V AC input, making it suitable for installations using either common 120V or 230V electrical systems. The AC plug and power cord must match the outlet standard used at the installation location.
Fixed Charging Locations
The BC-228 is intended for indoor charging stations in offices, radio rooms, dispatch centers, workshops, marine facilities, and fleet-management locations. Its 1.2-meter DC output cable and 1.83-meter AC input cable provide flexibility when arranging connected charger bases on a desk or equipment shelf.
