ICOM CT-23 PTT Microphone Adapter
Description
Microphone Connection for a PC Dispatch Station
The CT-23 allows a standard ICOM microphone to serve as the operator’s audio and push-to-talk interface for compatible computer-controlled radio systems. It connects the microphone to the computer’s microphone input and passes the PTT control required for radio transmission.
Compatible microphone options include:
- ICOM HM-152 hand microphone
- ICOM SM-25 desktop microphone
- ICOM SM-26 desktop microphone
- ICOM SM-28 desktop microphone
Multiple PTT Control Methods
When used with a supported system, transmission can be activated using the microphone’s physical PTT switch. Compatible Remote Communicator software may also initiate transmission through its on-screen PTT control or a connected external switch.
Remote Communicator Compatibility
ICOM lists the CT-23 for use with the RC-FS20 dispatch software and compatible ICOM WLAN communication systems. It was also used with the earlier RC-FS10A Remote Communicator configuration.
Power and Computer Connection
The CT-23 requires a compatible 12V DC power adapter. Its included PC interface cable uses a 3.5 mm stereo plug for connection to the computer’s microphone input.
