Remote Radio Operation

The HM-186LS places the speaker, microphone, and push-to-talk button within easy reach. It is useful for security, logistics, hospitality, construction, and field personnel who need frequent radio access while keeping their hands available.

The coiled cable reduces excess slack during normal use, and the rotating clip allows the microphone to be attached to a shirt, jacket, vest, or shoulder strap.

Private Listening Option

A built-in 3.5 mm earphone jack supports a compatible external earpiece. When connected, received audio can be heard more privately than through the microphone’s built-in speaker, which can be helpful in busy or shared work environments.

Indoor and General-Purpose Use

The HM-186LS does not carry a waterproof rating. For radios used in heavy rain, marine environments, or other wet conditions, a waterproof speaker microphone such as the compatible HM-183LS may be more appropriate.
