Desktop Base-Station Conversion

The IA-PS13 allows a compatible ICOM mobile radio to be installed as a fixed desktop unit. The enclosure surrounds the radio while the internal power supply provides the DC power required for operation from a standard AC outlet.

This arrangement is practical for:

• Dispatch and coordination desks
• Offices and control rooms
• Emergency communication stations
• Remote facilities
• Fixed satellite PTT operating positions

Compatible ICOM Radios

The IA-PS13 is designed for:

• ICOM IP501M mobile LTE radio
• ICOM IC-SAT100M satellite PTT radio

The IP501M provides wide-area push-to-talk communication through ICOM’s LTE-CONNECT network, while the IC-SAT100M communicates through the Iridium satellite network.

Integrated Power and Housing

The assembly includes an ICT power supply and a radio cover or cabinet designed for desktop installation. Combining these components creates a neater and more stable arrangement than operating the mobile radio with a loose power supply on a desk.

Installation Considerations

The complete fixed-station setup may also require a suitable external antenna, antenna cable, microphone, and active LTE or satellite PTT service, depending on the installed radio. These components should be selected according to the operating environment and communication system.
