Description
Rapid Charging for Compatible Icom Batteries
The BC-202IP3L is designed for Icom BP-271, BP-272, and BP-307 lithium-ion battery packs. Its desktop design provides a dedicated place to recharge compatible radios or spare battery packs between shifts, field assignments, and other regular use.
Charge the Radio or Battery Separately
A compatible battery can be charged while attached to the radio or placed in the charger separately. This makes it practical for organizations that keep spare batteries ready while radios remain in active rotation.
Expandable Multi-Radio Charging
Individual BC-202IP3L chargers can be connected together, allowing as many as six charging positions to be arranged as one station. This configuration is useful for workgroups, dispatch operations, field teams, and other environments where several compatible radios need to be kept charged and organized.
Smart Battery Charging
The charger uses a smart charging function designed to manage the charging process and help protect the installed lithium-ion battery pack. A two-color indicator provides an easy visual reference for charging status, showing when the battery is charging and when charging is complete.
Receive While Charging
Compatible transceivers can remain powered on for receiving while seated in the charger. This allows a radio positioned at a desk, dispatch point, or work station to remain available for incoming communications without relying solely on its battery.
Flexible Power Options
The BC-202IP3L uses a separate AC power supply based on the charging configuration. A BC-123S straight-plug adapter can be used with an individual charger, while the BC-228 power supply supports interconnected multi-charger installations.
