Description
Headset Connection
The OPC-2006LS provides the adapter connection required to use selected ICOM headsets with compatible handheld radios. Supported headset options include:
- ICOM HS-94 earhook headset
- ICOM HS-95 neck-arm headset
- ICOM HS-97 throat-microphone headset
The compact cable adds only a short connection between the radio and headset, helping keep the setup manageable during handheld use.
VOX Operation
This adapter is designed for VOX operation, allowing a compatible radio to transmit when the headset microphone detects speech. It does not provide a separate push-to-talk switch.
For installations requiring PTT operation, ICOM specifies the OPC-2328 PTT switch cable. Full-duplex operation is not supported with these cable and headset combinations.
