PC-Based Dispatch Communication

The RC-FS10 turns a Windows computer into an IP-connected radio interface. Operators can transmit, receive, and monitor compatible radio communications through an on-screen control panel rather than a conventional desktop or handheld radio.

The interface can be customized to support the operator’s workflow and provide access to selected channels, groups, and radio systems.

Single-Site and Multi-Site Operation

RC-FS10 can connect to compatible ICOM repeaters over an IP network. It can be used with a single repeater site or as part of a multi-site IDAS system connecting geographically separated facilities.

Supported applications include:

• Central dispatch and coordination
• Communication between distant facilities
• Monitoring separate VHF and UHF user groups
• Remote access from outside direct radio coverage
• Backup or secondary dispatch positions

Compatible Radio Systems

The software supports several ICOM digital radio configurations, including:

• IDAS NXDN conventional systems
• IDAS Type-D multi-site trunking systems
• dPMR Mode 2 systems
• Compatible radios and networks connected through an ICOM VE-PG3 or VE-PG4 RoIP gateway

When used with a VE-PG4, the virtual dispatch station can communicate with compatible land mobile, LTE, and IP radio terminals connected through the gateway.

Audio Interface

The RC-FS10 package uses the ICOM CT-24 digital voice converter to process microphone audio for compatible digital radio systems. A supported microphone can be connected using an optional CT-23 adapter.

Compatible microphone options include:

• ICOM HM-152 hand microphone
• ICOM SM-25 desktop microphone
