Modem Management for the v240M

The M3-TE03 is built specifically for the Intellian v240M dual-band maritime VSAT platform. It acts as the connection point between the antenna system and the vessel’s satellite modem equipment, helping the system manage communications when operating across C- and Ku-band networks.

Single- or Dual-Modem Configurations

The mediator supports two primary installation approaches. A vessel may use one compatible satellite modem for both frequency bands when supported by the network, or use separate modems for C- and Ku-band operation.

This flexibility allows the communication system to be configured around the satellite operator, modem capabilities, available service plans, and the vessel’s operational requirements.

Simplified Band Switching

When the v240M changes between supported frequency bands, the modem mediator manages the necessary modem and RF routing. This removes the need to manually exchange cables when moving between C- and Ku-band modem connections.

The result is a more practical installation for vessels that regularly change satellite coverage areas, use different regional networks, or require access to more than one frequency band.

Maritime VSAT Applications

The M3-TE03 is intended for professionally installed maritime communication systems using the Intellian v240M. Typical applications include commercial shipping, offshore operations, passenger vessels, research vessels, and other platforms that depend on multiband satellite connectivity.
