Iridium Extreme 9575 PTT Grab ‘N’ Go Corded Small Kit
Description
Portable Satellite PTT Communications
The Grab ‘N’ Go kit turns a compatible Iridium Extreme 9575 or Extreme PTT handset into a transportable team communication system. Its components are installed inside a compact hard case, allowing the system to be moved between vehicles, field offices, response sites, and other temporary operating locations.
Push-to-Talk and Standard Voice Operation
The integrated DriveDOCK supports Iridium Push-to-Talk operation as well as standard voice calls through the docked handset. This allows teams to use group PTT communication during coordinated operations while retaining access to conventional satellite phone service when direct calls are required. Compatible Iridium airtime and PTT service are required.
Corded Handset and Clear Audio
A rugged corded handset combines the PTT button, microphone, and loudspeaker in one handheld control. The system can operate with the case’s external speaker and corded handset together or in handset-only mode when audio needs to remain closer to the operator.
External Antenna Deployment
The dual-mode magnetic-mount antenna supports both Iridium satellite communication and GPS reception. It can be placed on a vehicle roof or another suitable outdoor surface while the case remains inside or in a protected working area. The antenna requires an unobstructed view of the sky for dependable satellite registration and communication.
Vehicle and Temporary-Site Power
The kit operates from a 12- or 24-volt vehicle accessory outlet. While powered, the DriveDOCK also charges the docked Iridium Extreme handset. This configuration is suited to mobile command vehicles, service trucks, temporary field stations, and other locations where vehicle DC power is available.
Field Applications
The compact corded kit is suited to operations that need a transportable satellite PTT station without the additional space required by a large-case or battery-backup configuration. Common applications include emergency services, commercial transportation, mining, government operations, defense, and remote work crews.
