Description
Portable Satellite Communications
The Grab ‘N’ Go system keeps the docking equipment, audio accessories, antenna, and power connections together in a large transport case. It can be moved between vehicles, command locations, remote work sites, and temporary operating areas without permanently installing a complete docking system at each location.
Private and Hands-Free Audio
The privacy handset serves two operating purposes. When placed in its mounting cup, the dock routes audio through the external speaker and microphone for hands-free operation. When removed, the handset provides private listening and speaking for standard voice calls or PTT communications.
In PTT mode, the operator can transmit using the convenience key on the docked Iridium Extreme PTT handset while the privacy handset is removed from its cup. In standard phone mode, lifting the privacy handset can answer an incoming call.
External Iridium and GPS Antenna
The included magnetic-mount dual-mode antenna provides separate Iridium and GPS connections through a 5-meter cable. It allows the antenna to be positioned outside a vehicle or shelter with a clearer view of the sky while the case remains inside or in a more accessible operating position.
Vehicle and External Power
The integrated DriveDOCK Extreme accepts 9–32VDC input and charges the docked Iridium handset during operation. The included vehicle cigarette-lighter adapter supports temporary mobile deployments without requiring permanent vehicle wiring. An optional internal backup-power kit is available for the large case configuration.
Field Applications
The portable format is suited to:
- Emergency response and disaster recovery
- Mobile command and coordination
- Commercial transportation
- Mining and remote industrial work
- Government and public-safety operations
- Temporary satellite communication deployments
The case is weather-resistant, but it should not be submerged or treated as a fully waterproof enclosure.
