Kymeta u8 600W AC-to-DC Power Kit

AC Power for Kymeta u8 Terminals

This kit allows a compatible Kymeta u8 terminal to operate from a 120V or 240V AC wall outlet rather than a vehicle or direct DC power source. The included power supply converts the incoming AC power to regulated 24V DC for the terminal.

It is intended for fixed and transportable installations such as offices, operations centers, temporary command posts, shelters, field camps, and other deployments where AC power is available.

North American and European Connections

Both North American and European AC power cords are included. The NEMA 5-15 cable supports common North American outlets, while the CEE 7/7 cable supports compatible European outlets. Each connects to the power supply through a standard IEC C13 connection.

The cable arrangement provides:

• AC cable length: 6 m / 20 ft
• DC cable length: 2.4 m / 8 ft
• Combined cable reach: 8.4 m / 28 ft

This provides flexibility when the terminal must be positioned away from the available outlet.

Power Requirements and Limitations

The included converter delivers up to 600W at 24V DC. This is sufficient for the supported u8 configurations identified by Kymeta and its authorized accessory listings.

The Osprey u8 Hybrid-GEO-LEO terminal has higher power requirements and must use the 1000W Kymeta AC-to-DC Power Kit, part number U8ACC-00060-0.

Installation

The kit includes the AC and DC cables required to connect the power supply between a compatible outlet and the terminal. Installation hardware is also supplied.

Kymeta identifies installation document 700-00187-000 for detailed connection and setup instructions. Power should be disconnected while installing or removing cables, and all connectors should be fully seated before the system is energized.
