Description
Transportable Kymeta u8 Deployment
The u8 GO Case System provides a reusable transport and operating platform for compatible Kymeta u8 terminals. The terminal can remain secured within the case during transport and can begin operating after the lid is removed and power is connected.
This configuration is useful when satellite connectivity must be moved between locations rather than permanently installed on one vehicle or structure.
Three Operating Configurations
The GO Case supports several deployment methods:
- Operate the terminal directly from the open case
- Raise the terminal to a 25° angle for stationary communications-on-the-pause deployments
- Remove the mounted terminal assembly and attach it to a compatible vehicle roof rack
The removable mounting assembly uses retaining pins, allowing the terminal to transition between case-based and vehicle-mounted operation without rebuilding the mounting system.
Hardened Transportation Case
The rugged, stackable hard-shell case helps protect the terminal during storage and transportation. Kymeta identifies the case as tested to MIL-STD-810H transportation standards, with hardened external tie-down points for securing it during vehicle or freight transport.
The case also incorporates drainage for water egress, helping prevent water from collecting around the terminal when the system is operated outdoors.
Integrated Power and Mounting Equipment
The system includes AC-to-DC power equipment for operation from a compatible AC source. Its integrated vehicle mount allows the terminal assembly to be removed from the case and secured to a standard roof rack when mobile operation is required.
