KYMETA U8 MRZR MOUNT
Description
Purpose-Built for the Polaris MRZR
This mount is designed specifically for integrating a Kymeta u8 terminal with the factory roll cage of a Polaris MRZR tactical vehicle. It provides a defined mounting solution for defense, public-safety, field communications, and other mobile operations that require a low-profile Kymeta terminal on an MRZR platform.
Quick Vehicle Installation
The mount uses four adjustable latch assemblies to clamp its padded rails around the MRZR roll cage. After the initial hardware installation has been completed, the terminal and mount assembly can be secured to the vehicle by closing the latches and inserting the supplied clevis pins. The latches are intended to close by hand rather than with tools.
At least two people are required to lift the terminal assembly onto the vehicle because of its size and weight. Pinch points around the latches should also be considered during installation and removal.
Terminal Compatibility
The current installation instructions identify compatibility with Kymeta Hawk u8, Goshawk u8, Osprey u8, and multiple earlier u8 terminal and ODU configurations. Different terminal versions use different M10 mounting screws, so the terminal product number must be checked before installation.

Compatibility should be confirmed by the terminal’s complete product number before assembly.
Integrated Bash Guard
The included bash guard is assembled across the front of the padded mounting rails. During installation, it must face away from the terminal’s cooling fans so airflow is not obstructed. The guard provides an additional physical barrier around the mounted terminal for operation on an off-road vehicle.
Installation Requirements
The mount requires initial mechanical assembly and must be fastened directly to the Kymeta terminal. Kymeta specifies tightening torques of 10.8 N·m for the bash guard, 25.8 N·m for its rail hardware, and 33.9 N·m for the terminal mounting screws. Supplied Loctite 262 is applied to the terminal mounting fasteners to help prevent loosening from shock and vibration.
Required installation tools include:
- 3/8-inch socket
- 13 mm socket
- 13 mm wrench
- 8 mm hex-bit socket
- Torque wrench rated from at least 10.8 to 33.9 N·m
These standard tools are used only for initial assembly and attachment to the terminal; routine roll-cage attachment uses the integrated latches and clevis pins.
