Kymeta U8 Universal Mounting Plate

Stationary u8 Mounting

The universal mounting plate creates a stable connection between a compatible Kymeta u8 terminal and a customer-provided stationary support structure. Kymeta identifies this plate as its mounting solution for fixed u8 terminal installations.

Support for Existing u7 Structures

The plate can be used to modify certain existing u7 stationary mounting structures to accommodate the larger u8 terminal. Before installation, the supporting structure should be checked to ensure it can safely carry the size and weight of the u8 system.

Terminal Attachment

The plate attaches to the primary mounting points on the underside of the u8 terminal. These mounting points use M10 × 1.25 threaded holes, and the supplied hardware should be installed according to Kymeta’s mounting instructions to avoid damaging the terminal.

Installation Considerations

The terminal requires sufficient clearance for cable routing, ventilation, and an unobstructed view of the sky. This universal plate is intended for stationary applications rather than vehicle installations; mobile systems require the appropriate Kymeta vehicle mounting kit.
