Receive-Only HF/SSB Operation

The KUM600-2 Rx is designed specifically for receiving HF and SSB radio signals. It covers frequencies from 0.15 to 30 MHz and is intended for automatic-tuned communication systems used aboard leisure and commercial vessels. It does not support radio transmission.

Omnidirectional Reception

The side-fed antenna receives signals from all horizontal directions without requiring it to be aimed toward a particular station. Vertical polarization and a direct coaxial connection support integration with compatible marine HF/SSB receivers and communication systems.

Marine Construction

The antenna consists of two fiberglass sections with internal copper radiating elements. AC Antennas uses corrosion-resistant materials and crimped construction to support use in harsh marine and land-based environments.

Its IP66 enclosure protects against dust and powerful water jets. The antenna is rated for operation from -55°C to 60°C and can withstand survival wind speeds up to 200 km/h, or 124 mph.

Mast Installation

The 6-meter antenna is intended for vertical mast mounting in a position clear of nearby metal structures and other antennas. The included N70F mounting kit provides the hardware required to secure the antenna to a suitable mast. Coaxial cable is required to connect the antenna to the receiver and should be selected according to the equipment and installation distance.

Current AC Antennas documentation references an N095F-SET mounting system for the standard KUM600-2, while this packaged SAILOR/Cobham configuration is listed with an N70F kit. The supplied mounting hardware should therefore be confirmed against the specific product part number when ordered.
