The integrated cable includes positive and negative bare power wires for connection to the boat’s electrical system. This allows the mounted Montana handheld to operate without relying only on its internal battery during longer trips. Professional installation is recommended when working with bare electrical wiring.
Audio and Serial Data Connections
The cable includes a 3.5 mm audio jack along with serial data wires. These connections support compatible external audio equipment and marine electronics when used with the corresponding functions of the installed Garmin device.
Montana 700 Series Compatibility
Garmin part number 010-12881-02 is compatible with the Montana 700, 700i, 750i, 710, 710i, and 760i. The device fits into the powered cradle and can be removed when it is needed away from the vessel.
