Intellian NJRC Ku-band 6W BUC(NJT8376UN) VE-1012
The Intellian VE-1012 is an NJT8376UN 6W block upconverter for compatible Ku-band satellite communication systems. It converts a 950–1,700 MHz L-band signal from the satellite modem into a 13.75–14.5 GHz universal Ku-band uplink signal.
The compact BUC provides 6W of RF output power and receives its DC power, IF signal, and 10 MHz reference through a single N-type connection. Its IP67-rated housing is designed for outdoor installation within compatible marine and fixed VSAT antenna systems.
Satellite Phone Store supplies Intellian satellite communication equipment and replacement RF components. Our team can help confirm the required frequency range, output power, connector, and antenna compatibility before ordering.
Description
Universal Ku-Band Uplink Coverage
The NJT8376UN operates across the 13.75–14.5 GHz universal Ku-band uplink range. It accepts a 950–1,700 MHz IF signal and uses a fixed 12.8 GHz local oscillator synchronized to an external 10 MHz reference.
This wider frequency range supports compatible VSAT systems that require operation beyond the standard 14.0–14.5 GHz Ku-band range.
6W RF Output
The BUC provides a minimum P1dB output of +37.8 dBm, equivalent to 6W. Its nominal linear gain is 62 dB, supporting compatible satellite terminals used for onboard internet, operational communications, voice, and business data.
Single-Cable Power and Signal Connection
The N-type female input carries the L-band IF signal, 10 MHz reference, and DC operating power. The unit accepts 12–30V DC, with 24V DC as the nominal supply voltage.
The high-power amplifier automatically mutes if the local oscillator loses lock or the 10 MHz reference signal is unavailable.
Compact Outdoor Installation
The weatherized enclosure is rated IP67 for protection against dust and water ingress. Its compact housing and 540 g weight make it suitable for installation inside stabilized marine antennas and other outdoor VSAT assemblies where space and antenna weight are limited.
Replacement Compatibility
The VE-1012 is intended for compatible Intellian Ku-band satellite communication systems configured for the NJT8376UN. Before replacement, confirm the antenna model, universal Ku-band frequency plan, 6W power requirement, N-type IF connection, and WR-75 waveguide arrangement.
