ICOM OPC-2276 Audio Connection Cable
Description
External Microphone and Speaker Connection
The OPC-2276 connects a supported ICOM microphone and a separate external speaker to a compatible VE-PG gateway. This provides a practical local audio position for operators using the gateway in a dispatch room, office, control station, or communications center.
Compatible microphone examples include:
- ICOM HM-152 hand microphone
- ICOM SM-26 desktop microphone
External Speaker Requirements
The speaker connection uses a 3.5 mm monaural plug. ICOM specifies an external speaker with an impedance greater than 8 ohms and a power capacity above 1W.
Gateway Installation
The dedicated connectors attach to the lower slots of a supported EXT port on the VE-PG gateway. The gateway should be turned off before the cable is connected or removed, and the connectors must be installed in the correct orientation.
