ICOM OPC-2389 Connection Cable
Description
Serial Device Integration
The OPC-2389 provides the dedicated connection between a compatible RS-232 serial communication device and the ICOM VE-PG3 or VE-PG4. It can be used where external equipment needs to exchange control or data signals with an ICOM RoIP gateway.
Gateway Compatibility
The cable is designed for:
- ICOM VE-PG3 RoIP Gateway
- ICOM VE-PG4 RoIP Gateway
Its gateway-side connectors attach to a supported EXT port, while the opposite end uses an RS-232 serial connector for the external device.
Installation
All equipment connected to the gateway should be powered off before the cable is attached or removed. The connectors must be inserted in the correct orientation and handled by the connector body rather than pulled by the cable.
Not every RS-232 device is necessarily supported, so the intended device and system configuration should be checked before installation.
