Description
Repeater-to-Gateway Connection
The OPC-2390 provides the physical connection between a supported ICOM repeater and a VE-PG3 or VE-PG4 RoIP gateway. This allows an existing radio system to be incorporated into a wider IP-based communication network.
Compatible ICOM Equipment
ICOM lists the OPC-2390 for use with:
- ICOM IC-FR5000 and IC-FR6000 series repeaters
- ICOM IC-FR5100 and IC-FR6100 repeaters
- ICOM VE-PG3 RoIP gateway
- ICOM VE-PG4 RoIP gateway
The cable connects to the repeater’s accessory port and one of the supported EXT ports on the gateway. System settings, including repeater channel and transmit power, must be configured separately.
Installation Requirements
Both the repeater and gateway should be powered off before the cable is connected or disconnected. The connectors must be inserted in the correct orientation, and the cable should be handled by the connector bodies rather than pulled by the wiring.
