Compact Equipment Protection

The Pelican 1150 provides a rigid enclosure for small equipment that may be carried in vehicles, vessels, aircraft, field bags, or emergency kits. It is well suited for compact satellite phones, handheld radios, tracking devices, spare batteries, chargers, adapters, and other sensitive accessories.

Its solid-wall construction helps protect the contents from impacts and external pressure while remaining light enough for routine transport.

Watertight and Dustproof Construction

The case uses an O-ring seal to help prevent water and dust from entering when the lid is properly closed. It carries an IP67 rating, indicating complete dust protection and resistance to temporary water immersion under the applicable test conditions.

This makes the Pelican 1150 suitable for equipment stored in work vehicles, marine environments, emergency supplies, remote sites, and other locations where moisture or debris may be present.

Customizable Foam Interior

The with-foam configuration includes Pick N Pluck foam with convoluted foam inside the lid. Pre-scored foam sections can be removed by hand to create fitted spaces around the equipment being stored.

A fitted layout helps reduce movement during transport and keeps devices, batteries, chargers, and cables from striking one another inside the case.

Portable Design

The exterior measures 9.44 × 7.80 × 4.29 inches, and the case weighs approximately 1.75 pounds with foam installed. Its compact size makes it easy to carry by hand or store inside a larger travel bag, vehicle compartment, or equipment cabinet.

The folding over-molded handle provides a secure grip while remaining close to the case body when not in use.

Pressure Equalization

An automatic pressure-equalization valve helps balance the pressure inside and outside the case during altitude, temperature, and atmospheric changes. The hydrophobic vent allows air to pass while helping prevent water from entering through the valve.

This is useful when the case is transported by air or moved between locations with different elevations or temperatures.

Secure Storage

The case uses two double-throw latches to keep the lid securely closed. A padlock hole allows the case to be secured with a compatible lock when additional access control is needed.

The Pelican 1150 can be used for everyday transport or as a dedicated storage case that keeps a small communication kit organized and ready for use.
