Peplink 5G Adapter: Rugged 5G Connectivity for Any Network

The Peplink 5G Adapter provides a simple and flexible way to add high-speed cellular connectivity to existing network infrastructure and Ethernet-enabled equipment. Its integrated single 5G modem connects through a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet interface, making it suitable for upgrading routers and switches with an additional cellular WAN connection or providing standalone connectivity to remote devices.

High-Speed 5G and LTE Performance

The adapter supports Sub-6 GHz 5G in both Standalone and Non-Standalone modes, with theoretical cellular speeds of up to 3.4 Gbps downlink and 550 Mbps uplink. When operating on LTE, its CAT-19 modem supports theoretical speeds of up to 1.6 Gbps downlink and 200 Mbps uplink. Actual performance depends on network coverage, carrier service, frequency availability, signal conditions, and the selected data plan.

With its compact footprint, rugged metal enclosure, and low power consumption, the Peplink 5G Adapter is designed for applications such as kiosks, vending machines, digital signage, surveillance cameras, industrial sensors, robotic systems, fleet vehicles, and remote sites. It can also provide an additional 5G WAN source for an existing router, helping organizations expand connectivity without replacing their current network infrastructure.

Flexible SIM and eSIM Connectivity

The Peplink 5G Adapter provides two physical nano-SIM slots and supports Peplink eSIM, up to two Bring Your Own eSIM profiles, RemoteSIM through a compatible SIM Injector, and FusionSIM. This wide range of SIM options gives administrators greater flexibility when selecting carriers, changing services, or managing deployments across multiple regions.

Zero-Touch Setup and Remote Management

A pre-loaded 1GB Peplink global eSIM data plan supports initial connectivity and zero-touch provisioning in eligible countries and regions. Once online, the adapter can be configured and monitored remotely through Peplink InControl 2. Administrators can review device status, connection quality, and GPS information, while InTouch provides secure remote access for troubleshooting connected equipment. Continued InControl access requires an active PrimeCare subscription.

Industrial and Vehicle-Ready Installation

The adapter can be powered through its 802.3at PoE-enabled Ethernet port or through a 4-pin Micro-Fit connector accepting 10–30V DC input. GPIO and ignition sensing allow the device to coordinate operation with a vehicle's ignition system, helping automate power management in mobile deployments. Its built-in GPS receiver supports location monitoring and InControl GPS fleet management for vehicle and asset-tracking applications.

Reliable Operation in Demanding Environments

Designed to operate in temperatures from -40°C to 65°C, the Peplink 5G Adapter is suitable for vehicles, industrial facilities, remote installations, and other challenging environments. Four SMA cellular connectors support external 4x4 MIMO antenna systems, while a separate SMA connector is provided for the GPS antenna. Front-panel LED indicators display cellular signal strength from zero to five bars for convenient on-site installation and troubleshooting.

Regional 5G Compatibility

The North American model supports a broad range of Sub-6 GHz 5G and LTE bands and carries certifications for AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and FirstNet. A separate model is available for APAC and EMEA deployments. Compatibility depends on the product model, local frequency bands, carrier network, SIM provisioning, and service plan.

Important Feature Notice: The Peplink 5G Adapter supports IP Passthrough for delivering the cellular WAN IP address directly to a connected device. It does not support SpeedFusion technology or SpeedFusion VPN.
